I got the same message. The grammar and the time it was sent made it look like spam to me so I haven’t replied yet either…Im curious to see if anyone else got it and if anyone gets a response back.

I received the same message and I am waiting for a reply. I definitely had the sense of spam but I suppose this exercise is all about trust, so I guess I trust.

Looks spammy, I got one too. Plus, the account was created the same day those messages were sent, which is a red flag along with the fact that the account in question has no other public activity. The Powers That Be/forum admins have the email addresses we used to sign up for a forum account, They shouldn’t have to pm us if they want to contact us privately.

I got a message this morning as well. The broken english sounded kind of spammy to me but I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

Yeah I received it too, and since the grammar was so bad it felt like it was probably spam. Granted, due to the nature of this whole thing you never know! But yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s spam.

I received the message as well and was wondering if I should respond or not. Will you keep us posted on her response to you? Let us know if it is indeed spam or not. I am very curious to know more.

I got the same. Seems like it’s span, unfortunately. A Google search with the the person’s name and email address removed turned up a lot of spam comments with the exact same verbiage.

I got the same email. Had the same thoughts as most of you here. I’m torn between responding and ignoring, but will wait to find out what happened to those of you who did respond. Keep us scaredy cats posted!

I also received this message, and was curious.. But I haven’t emailed her. Seems like spam but I am still curious.

This isn’t the first time this has happened. It’s probably best to ignore and not respond. That’s what we were asked to do last time. I’m sure they’ll get rid of the account when they get some time and maybe after a well deserved holiday break. 😉

In my other life, I deal with spammers and scammers professionally. This is a textbook case. Just ignore. Trust me.

Well she’s now listed as a “deleted user” so I guess it’s safe to say that it was spam after all.

Looks like I’m the lucky one, haven’t received a thing.

I received this email as well and replied. When she asked me to send my bank account information I stopped responding. She still contacts me.
