I remembered a verse I found extremely fitting and wanted to share. In the King James Version of the Bible, John 1:5 says, ”
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not”. Now, I love this translation. The NIV says that the darkness “could not overcome it”. That’s all well and good. It accomplishes the goal. The light is stronger than the darkness. But the KJV depicts the light so strongly, that the light “COMPREHENDED it not”(emphasis added). The light was so strong that the darkness’ mind was FRIGGIN’ BLOWN and physically couldn’t begin to understand the light. I don’t know. Just remembered it and thought it belonged here.
