I got a call!

I finally filled out that creepy questionare last night because I figured if I am going to keep checking here every 15 minutes I might as well jump all in.

I was running the grill for brunch for my mother when my cell phone rang with an unidentified caller, I wish I didn’t think it was a telemarketer because I answered the phone in a huff ready to give them a piece of my mind for calling on Mother’s Day but the old guy starts in with some stuff I can’t quite remember and honestly didn’t hear too great but I did hear him say, “Tommy” and that’s when I knew something was weird (haven’t been called that since my dad past a couple of years ago) so I believe he said I needed to “prepare for my role.” I was flustered and didn’t know what to say but then I just asked with a weird, goofy smile on my face I’m sure, “what role?” He just said, “my name is Atticus and I will call you tomorrow with further details”. Well there goes my work day, good luck getting me to do any reports tomorrow LOL. I’m kind of excited but also kind of feel silly for feeling a bit like a nervous and scared little girl now.

What’s that now Amie? They didn’t say one way or the other about posting here. Ha, I didn’t already screw up did I?

Like an old man or at least not exactly normal, drawn out a bit, I thought it was a recording at first but he did repeat himself at one point a little differently when I couldn’t quite hear but I wasn’t quite caught up to what was going on at that point just that it clicked, oh this is a person.

I wish I did! I haven’t had much contact other than last Saturday’s event. I’m enjoying my path though so it’s ok!

Interesting. Can you describe the cadence of his voice? Did he sound gruff, angry, as though he was irritated? Or detached and bored? Higher pitch? Lower?

Cadence is a new one for me, but it’s going in the vault now, good word, thank you! His cadence was definitley slow and deliberate. Like I said, it happened quick but I think it was a bit raspy too, not like 3 packs a day raspy but that is how I think I knew it was an old guy and he also had a kind of old-timey quality to the way he was talking too if that makes sense.
