Motives like “honesty” and “democracy?”
Point by point: BOS isn’t a belief system, there is no indoctrination. Even your ex-Scribe has described me as honest, not a liar. Democracy, call it what you like, the point is each and every one of us is NOT underneath someone else’s thumb. You don’t like these things, fine with us, stay over there.
Counterpoints: Very true, the OOA is a faith based organization to match BoS’s lack of faith/pragmatism.
Our current Scribe is universally trusted and beloved… and our Gatekeeper has not lied to us yet, nor has Regent7.
I’m all for not being under thumbs, and was given the diary particularly for that reason. Isn’t that a good sign?
Just trying to open a dialogue here for the undecided.
Except for Stalin, Mao, Than Shwe, Pol Pot and North Korea… But other than that…
People (including fanatical tyrants) define “noble motives” in many peculiar ways.
If anyone would question the words of Ghandi… let’s just say I’m not surprised.
