Everyone,

My name is James, I registered with the tension experience back in march and I haven’t really used the forum at all. I got a call today from someone and they told me to get on here, being new and all I thought I’d at least say hello.

Again, not really sure what’s expected of me, just trying to be a receptive vessel.

Hi @scrim/James and welcome! I think we’re all in the same boat. We’re all sort of working together to get to the bottom of whatever this thing is, and it appears to be ramping up to something faster than ever before. If you’re looking for a place to start, the Beginners Guide to The Tension Experience is a good jumping off point. There’s also a great primer on the narrative so far at The Story So Far… (Start Here). Also worth checking out and following are the Tension facebook page, twitter, and instagram – lots of official content is released on their channels, which becomes topics of discussion here.

There’s been a lot of movement the past week or two, so it’s definitely worth reading up on everything developing tonight, as well as things that have happened in the past couple weekends.

Also, if you haven’t seen it yet, the Activity page is a great place to keep up on what’s being talked about in real time.

That said, if you have any specific questions, please ask away! Everyone’s more than willing to help, and you probably have questions for things that nobody’s thought of yet, so anything that comes to mind is very likely a key to unlocking whatever this thing is.

Hey @addisonborn first off thanks for the tips, pretty lost without them, second do you have any idea what I should expect since I don’t live on the west cast anymore? I had to move.

  I think the biggest tip for those not in the LA area would just be to stay active on the forums if possible. In-person events have been happening mainly in the greater LA area, but they have not been shy about getting out-of-towners involved. Without giving away too much, there’s lots to unpack with puzzles, lore, hidden messages in promo videos, and lots of other spots especially if you’re just getting started, and probably 90% of things that happen within this experience have happened online or remotely.
  
  Another thing I forgot to mention – if you don’t have Periscope, you should definitely look into it. They have been very active on that platform, their account is @the_tension_exp.

Welcome @scrim! Addison has offered you some really great advice. We all realize Tension can be a very steep learning curve. Start small, read a little every day, throw in your two cents when you have something to say, big or small, and before you know it you’ll be fully indoctrinated like (most of) the rest of us.
