    @dimstyle – Here’s a new thread. Maybe @thegilded or @mkarrett can move the CL talk from Addison’s diary thread into this one.

    I don’t think she mentioned specifically where it was. The cross streets on the ad show Victory and Lankershim, which would fit to what she described in her diary.

    Also, the move in date would be on 8/20 – So what if there’s another “Addison” living with her now and this week is when she gets told she needs to move out and then moves into the OOA?

    I can give that a shot. It may not look pretty, be warned!

    Also, what if reality IS malleable? This is kinda crazy but…

    Hypothetically if you guys are correct and there’s another Addison (I always wondered why Tension asked us about time/dimension/reality) just now getting kicked out of the apartment and moving to OOA, what if you have the option to stop her?

      We should definitely try to get her to read Addy’s diary if that’s true and let her see what’s happened to someone in a similar/exact situation. Then it’s up to her on what she chooses to do.

    • #18539

      Hey @mike, are you admitting OOA is a potentially dangerous organization? One that CL Sarah should be warned about? :)

      @electrichippo – Oh you <3 – I am saying that Addison’s journal should be shown to someone who could be in a similar situation. Addy’s _path is not one that many people would find “normal”. Some people reading that would run for the hills, others might read it say “Hell yeah, free rent and food!”. It’s really up to who’s reading it and how they take it. Reading her story may make people think about things they are told a little more thoroughly, which is something that is very important in general.

    @mike

    That could be a possibility. Based on the posting (finally got the screenshot uploaded) it fits the post that Addison wrote about exactly. So the question would be, should we stop her and could we?

    So if there is another girl, how are we supposed to contact her? Currently we can only contact Sarah and if she is doing what it sounds like she’s doing how do we get to the other girl? @mike do you mind sharing what you asked about in your message to Sarah? I wonder if a woman needs to try to contact her but again I’m not sure where that would get us.

      @amieexists – I have no idea! haha It’s one of those things that sounds good in theory, but have no idea how to accomplish it. What *could* happen is…someone expresses interest in the apartment and goes to meet Sarah to check out the apartment. Then if there is another girl there, then easy, if there’s another girl there, but not at home, maybe try to leave a note with your phone number or something.

      The email I sent was about trying to find information on a mutual friend that had answered a similar ad. I’m sure that’s coming off as weird and sketchy to her, but I didn’t want to pretend to be interested in her apartment :/

      The issue with this is that it seems she is still waiting for whoever this new girl might be to see the add and contact her. There is a good chance there is no other girl at the apartment yet. At this point Addison was dealing with all the craziness and then getting evicted right?

      I can see how that message would come off as pretty weird! haha I would email her but I’m going to get pulled away for work soon so it’s probably not a great idea for me to try and not be able to see it through in case she responds. There’s also always the small chance that is a real person. πŸ˜‰

      Edit: I just went back and reread the ad, room not private. Ha, sounds pretty much exact to what it was in Addison’s journal.

      Or, @amieexists, you could BE the new girl…and maybe get recruited?

    • #18527

      @mike said

      I’m sure that’s coming off as weird and sketchy to her

      Truer words have never been spoken by our ex-Scribe πŸ˜‰ For the sake of CL Sarah I sure hope she’s truly involved in the OOA (never thought I’d say those words!)

    If you click on the “post id” at the bottom of the add a phone number comes up. It is Sunrise Beach, Missouri

    It seems to be a disconnected number

    Never mind…it is literally just an ID. It just bings it up into the phone to call when click on it. I am not good at Craigslist

      This convinces me the posting is from Tension.
      ETA: Never mind, Mike explained to me that the post id is an auto generated number. I still believe it’s from Tension though.

    Could we possibly answer the ad, as a fellow actress looking for a place to live?
    I nominate @puppetgirl if she’s game.

    Be careful, guys. What if it isn’t Tension? You’ll just end up scaring some random girl.

      Talking OOG here: if this was not Tension related I would hope Tension would clue us in that we’re going down the wrong road here. I mean, that seems like the responsible thing to do.

      I hope so too, just don’t want anyone to be “catfished” or to scare someone that is not related to the experience. I am a skeptical, just needed to put it out there.

    @mike

    Should also be noted (as you said) this seems to be the same area. There is a Starbucks near here (West Burbank Blvd). I dont think Addison said Starbucks specifically but I do remember something in diary about calling peoples names out for their drinks and her being a Barista…a term I never heard befor but most people would associate with Starbucks.

    • #18533

      @dimstyle: You do realize in the more populated areas of SoCal there is a Starbucks every few blocks? North Hollywood is definitely a more populated area so I wouldn’t read too much into the presence of a Starbucks near the roommate ad.

      She does mention the l.a. coffee shop Intelligentsia which is in Silverlake. She talks about being on the payphone outside the shop. I haven’t had a second yet, but I wanted to go there and look for a payphone and see if there are any messages there!

    If there is worry this isn’t meant for us we can always stew for just a little bit and I’m sure we’ll be warned off of this path…

      @amieexists

      I am almost certain it was placed by someone envolved with this. If you go back and look at Addisons diary, the posting is the same. It seems odd that the posting also went up right AFTER @mike and I were talking about searching Craigslist for the original ad. On a whim, I went back and look and the ad was posted within minutes of our conversation.

      @dimstyle anyone can make craigslist posts, and it’s not the first time someone’s attempted to hijack Tension – don’t want to be a naysayer, but it’s a little too close to exactly what’s in the journal, it just seems fishy.

      I can agree with all of that but what we come back to is being almost certain. It’s obviously up to everyone to make that choice but work is going to distract me for a little bit and I’ll use that time to see if Tension has a thought one way or another. πŸ˜‰

    I’d do it as long as we’re sure it’s tension. I am an actress in La. I don’t want to freak out some random girl though or waste her time if it’s a real ad.

    Or end up in a bad situation if it’s a tension poser.

    @puppetgirl you could always just contact her asking for some basic info like rent. If it’s Tension I would think it will be relatively obvious (hopefully). And if it’s a real ad, I’m sure they wouldn’t be freaked out by a normal inquiry and would probably be receiving and fielding a few offers so it shouldn’t be too much of a bother to them. If it’s a poser, hopefully tension would clue us in!

    But don’t feel any pressure to do that if you don’t feel comfortable with it. I know I would be way to shy to do that even if I was pretty sure it was tension!

    There’s no harm in throwing out an introductory e-mail (and honestly, this is too big a coincidence to not be related).
    Tonight, I might even take a stroll down that block and see if any of the apartment complexes have a familiar name on the front directory.

    I sent an email asking details about the apartment and her as a roommate. We’ll see.

    Guys I just got a call and I can tell you that this lead about the apartment is STRICTLY out of game. The caller (private number) applauded all the detective work that was done here but I think the responsible thing here is to close this topic.
