Thoughts, in no particular order:
– “She is dangerous. She has convinced herself that the only way forward is expose the Identity of One.” – We can extrapolate that these people (ODSM folks?) do NOT want One’s identity released? Why? Conversely, why does Addison believe that revealing One will help her cause? Is it because she believes we know and trust One? She did say that most of us have already seen him…
– “she is going to use them to expose the ONE….Release his name…hell, let’s xxxxxxxx coming recruitment operation for Ascension. As much smoke as we can blow. I believe DLB can sell this…” What does “Release his name” mean in this email? They DON’T want One’s name released, right? I assume that “Release his name” here means “Release DLB’s name as a distraction and a cover,” not “Release One’s name”. Everyone else read this the same way?
– How is releasing DLB’s name going to prevent the identity of One being known?
– “One has her ear. Has had her ear since this all started. / I want him pushed in front, not next week, not tomorrow, now.” Again I had some pronoun confusion. They switched subjects here, right? So the first line was talking about One, but the second line, the one about wanting him “pushed in front,” changed the subject to talk about DLB? Is that how everyone else read this?
– “This feels too small.” <– Ascension? or the press push?
– “We all saw what happened to III.” It seems III was “reprogrammed” unsuccessfully, resulting in his blank, sleepy initial personality.
– Given that Addison / @gatekeeper2 now knows that her enemies intend to capture and reprogram her, I hope she is discreet about communicating a time and place to meet on 9/7. Even her Periscope was a risky move: her location was pinpointed within minutes. I would hope she is well-guarded.

To address the first point that I have any commentary on, I don’t think that III’s reprogram resulted in the initial state. 4 essentially called him a premature baby, I believe the timetable was rushed leading to his initial state. The reprogram is what lead to his coherent, if destructive state.
As a second point, the “This feels too small” email was sent 4 hours before the LA Times article and only shortly before the No Proscenium podcast. I suspect that they were talking about the Media Blitz just before it happened, having engineered the whole thing

This did not occur to me for a few days… obviously, since I am posting it now!
The envelope containing the emails was signed by “A friend.” I looked at that and really did not give it much thought… then it hit me that I received something handwritten months ago… the note that was given to me with the teddy bear after I met Tom and Margaret, it was signed BOS.
It is a long shot but I wanted to share it here. The envelope image from @gabzilla
Here is the note that accompanied the teddy bear.
I cannot guarantee the note was written by Tom, even though he called me to tell me where the bear was to be found.
If you compare some of the letters (T, E, H, R) which are the most noticeable curves and straight lines… I do not think these are the same handwritings, but they do feel similar, don’t they? Anyone have any thoughts? Barking up a pointless tree?
I wonder who this “friend” really is?

What a coincidence! I just finished reading “Black Dahlia Avenger” and there is quite a bit of handwriting analysis in it…so obviously, I’m an expert now
I don’t think they’re written by the same person. In the letter you got, the some of the “S”s and “E”s are more backwards 2s and 3s. In the “Friend” letter, every “E” looks similar and with a strong down stroke to start it.
Actually, looking at your letter again…I would say that the “Russell” and “BOS” was written by someone other than who wrote the actual message.

Yes, @mike, I agree with you! When I first looked at the note after the hotel, I thought that “Russell” and “BOS” did seem different. At the time I think I even mentioned to you that I wondered if BoS had Tom write the note but then put their own “stamp of approval” on it by later identifying who should receive the bear.
The other letter I mentioned… T … if you look at the cross of it, the bear note seems to be straight across and the other note seems to be consistently slanted.

Hi, I’ve been lurking and reading all this for some days now but handwriting analysis is my jam so I had to register to just say this:
If you look at the writing on the envelope addressed to Addison and then compare it to areas in Addison’s own diary (places where she writes in all-caps like the section where she talks about moving in with Sadie) the letters look extremely similar to me, specifically the internal loops on the double Os and swirl to the right at the end stroke on the Ns. It makes no sense that Addison would be writing notes to herself but I can’t shake my suspicion that they were probably written by the same (out of game) person.

Interesting stuff, @melarune. Thank you for jumping in with the comparison to the journal! There has been the theory proposed elsewhere in these Forums that Addison may have had some sort of personality “split” at some point. Personally, I am not a believer in this, buuuuuuuuuuutttt… with what you just said, is it possible this is evidence to support that theory?

I suppose it’s possible, @reaton and proponents of that theory could certainly try to use it to support their argument. If it turned out to actually be the case and the handwriting was a clue all along it would speak to a level of attention to detail that would impress the heck out of me I’m actually far more inclined to believe that it is simply a coincidence or a red herring, however.

I agree, I think it probably coincidence, but an interesting avenue to walk down.
My main reason in pointing to it was to see if anyone had theories on the “Friend.”

When “Aleister Gordon” contacted me over a month ago he/she said to call him/her A Friend. He/she also mentioned he/she was the last remaining of the OOA. I thought maybe this was Regent 7. Now, we know that 7 has his own agenda, maybe he still does. Or I suppose it could be Addison’s split personality but I really lean towards against this theory because in the Periscope she’s basically mad at… herself.
Im leaning towards it still being Regent 7 but it’s not a strong lean. We know he was supposed to fade away after he gave the journal to @atticus360 but I think 7 still signs on…
