Good evening. I must admit, I was a bit bewildered when I saw the thread title. In short, here’s what happened: I had not received confirmation of my questionnaire being received. My husband had and so I wondered what was going on. I was able to reach Addison yesterday afternoon and she suggested that I fill out a new one, which I did. A few hours later I received an email from the OOA saying that my application had gone to the Council due to my response to “name the first thing that comes to mind.” Not sure if I should share what that was, but, nonetheless, they asked that I explain my answer, which I did. (What I will say is that my response was raw and uncensored, it was 2:30 in the morning and I was doing my very best to be candid.) I then left a voicemail for the Council as follow-up, in an effort to be as thorough as possible.
I am extraordinarily honored that my message has been posted. My speaking voice is of significant personal and professional importance to me, and, thus, this feels like a bit of a sign. If only I could figure out a sign for what. My response was not meant to be flippant or disrespectful, and my hope is to clearly communicate that to the Council…

I also was able to reach Addison this afternoon, and had a pleasant and encouraging chat with her. I shared my concern that I had not gotten confirmation that my questionnaire had been received. She urged me to re-submit it, which I just did.
For any of you who have not received any contact from the OOA regarding your submission, you may want to do the same..

Thanks for the welcome.
I hope that the OOA knows that our commitment runs deep enough that a drive from OC to LA is nothing in order to fulfill our promise. Nothing more than physical miles and concrete time. I believe that what we are seeking is far more abstract, and probably difficult for us to even begin to really comprehend…

My husband received communication from the OOA earlier this afternoon, and I was very excited for him. I will, of course, leave it to him to share more details with everyone.
Meanwhile, I am hoping that my responses to the Questionnaire were appropriate and adequate, and that I will hear something soon as well…

Hello, all.. Thank you for starting this thread..
I’m Jason, from Orange County. I have stayed abreast of all the interesting discussions happening here, but haven’t yet contributed. I submitted my Questionnaire last weekend, but have yet to hear back from the OOA. I’m not very active in social media but have been trying to reach out to others to share about the OOA through more personal, individual channels. I certainly don’t want the folks at the OOA to think I’m not working to spread the word, so I’m making a commitment to be more active her on the forums.
Glory Be to all of you, and a pleasure to meet you..
