Hello, all, this is my first time posting on the forums, so I am hoping this is in the proper place. Some of you I had the pleasure of meeting at ScareLA recently, Iwas with Michael Gray.
Anywho, I had a rather strange conversation today via text, and although some have said it doesn’t sound Tension related, there is nothing else I can tie this to, not being involved in anything else.
The conversation went as follows:
Wed. August 3rd. 21:10
+1 (303) 652-7036: you’re no hero
Me: Never have been, never will beThis was a number I have had no previous contact with but I had assumed it was someone I worked with, I frequently say “I’m no hero.” Yet no one admitted to texting me.
Tue. August 10th. 21:00
+1 (303) 652-7036: *I receive an 8 second audio recording of heavy breathing*
Me: Hello.
#: I don’t know.
Me: Don’t know what?
#: what makes you worthy?
Me: Worthy of?
#: of your name
Me: What constitutes one worthy of their name?
#: what did you have for dinner?
Me: A beef hot dog and several meatballs with barbecue sauce, and two water bottles.
#: did you eat the plastic?
Me: I did not, I see that I misspoke by implying that I HAD the water bottles for dinner.
#: I just thought wow. The guys a plastic eager
#: *eater
Me: That would be very interesting, but I am not.
#: ok
Me: Does what I had for dinner affect being worthy of my name or is this an unrelated chain of questioning?
#: everything’s sort of connected in the end, but yeah I’m not really sure
#: Does it matter?
Me: I like to think it does. Especially if everything is connected to some sort of “end game”. I’m just curious where to go from here.
#: you’re asking the wrong person
Me: And what is your position? And who is the right person?
#: read a book called Motorman. Watch out for Jelly Heads
Me: Is that all?
#: If you read the book you’d know it’s not
Me: I will read the book.
Me: Can you tell me what a jelly head is?
#: read the book
Me: Will do. Motorman by David Ohle?
#: Yes
Me: Thank you.
#: no
#: thank
YouAnd that concludes the conversation…
I think it also helps to note that back on July 8th shortly after signing up on the Tension website I received a call at 02:16, I didn’t answer what with it being 2 in the morning but I was left a voicemail saying “My number, which is (213)788-6589, I repeat, it’s (213)788-6589, so give me a call back as soon as possible so we can transfer the funds and complete the verification process. ‘Til then goodbye and have a blessed day.” I doubt this call is related in any way but given the hour and the vibes put off it was rather interesting.
I guess from here I get to go do some reading and go from there, naturally I purchased an online version of the book immediately so hopefully that’s made available soon.
I guess my question is has anyone been given a similar task, is this even Tension?! And i never filled out the questionnaire when I had the chance and it seems to no longer be available so what are even the odds I would have been contacted?? -

@tawil924 I guess anything is possible but it really doesn’t fit calls or messages that others have received before. I wonder if it was from someone that got your number seeing you at ScareLA?
Maybe someone else would have more input.
On a side note, I do remember the book Motorman from when I was in college (or around that time). Strange book, short read. BTW, Jellyheads are man-made humanoid type things that act more like robots…no thinking skills.

Hi! This sounds like NOTHING related to Tension. The first call is too strange and the second one just sounds like a scam call. Beware, since most calls from Tension are “No ID”.

Hello, we likely met at ScareLA, good to see you on forums.
If that call was from Tension, its definitely one of the stranger / more interesting ones recieved, and a non-private number is unusual but does happen time to time, although the area code seems way off.
The book sounds interesting and thematically in-line with events here so who knows? Here’s a small summary for everyone: http://www.bookforum.com/archive/Oct_04/jackson.html
I’d just warn that if you do continue to speak with this number do so carefully, don’t do or say anything you’re not comfortable with.
What did the voice sound like?

One more thing to consider: the questionnaire is how they get your phone number, if you did not fill it out, how else did they get your phone number? If it indeed was Tension that called you. I would strongly consider other possibilities other than Tension. Just staying practical here.

I did a quick google of the 213 788-6589 number and there are lots of people saying the same thing, so that sounds like a no go. But I’ll have a look a the text number!

It was confirmed that this was not Tension. We still don’t know who it is, and figure it’s someone who knows that @tawil924 is doing Tension and is pranking him.
