I’ve returned. I see there have been many questions pertaining to what happened the day of FOUR’s demise. If concerns or inquiries remain that you feel I might be able to assist in clearing up, please list them here.

My own personal statement is this:

Regardless of factions or sides, I did not take joy in watching what I did. FOUR was not my friend, but I do concede she was one of a kind, had certain relevant messages to share, and I understand many here loved her. Meeting her face-to-face is not something I will soon forget… I could feel I was in the presence of a force of nature, a powerful woman. A part of me will mourn this loss of a life.

In regards to Addison, who now prefers to be address as “Gatekeeper 2,” I also mourn for her. I feel like what I witnessed was the culmination of a forced loss of innocence. I have to ask myself, how did it come to this? I have my own beliefs on this front that I will refrain from addressing at this time.

You can disagree with my interpretations. That’s fine. I’m not famous for being too concerned with what others think. If I was I wouldn’t have chosen this path I’m on.

I will do my best to provide facts to any questions presented.

Thank you for providing answers, many of us certainly are desperate for some.

When Four gave Addison the knife, was this because a car was pulling up? Can you give any more details as to what kind of car, if anyone else got out, or if my theory was incorrect?

    • #16343

@thegilded: Right before FOUR gave Addison the knife, I did hear a car approach out back, through the open warehouse door that Addison walked towards with the knife. FOUR appeared to assume the car contained III, but I don’t know what the car looked like or if the car even contained III or anyone relevant to the OOA or even BoS for that matter. All I know is Addison went out and came back. I can’t be certain she spoke to anyone at all. My estimation is none of us inside the warehouse at that time could have known these things for certain, at least in that moment.

Thank you for coming back and being available for questions! I only really have one – Did you consider saying “Carlos” to Addison when you realized what she was doing?

Damn. If I had thought of that I would have said it for sure when I had the opportunity as well.
I wonder what the response would have been. Shit!

    • #16344

@addisonborn: “Carlos” certainly crossed my mind, but no I never felt a desire to use it. I was asked to bear witness. I chose to do just that. Nothing more, nothing less.

Thank you Cody. And thank you to all the others who expressed concern for me. I read it all. I’m touched that many here are able to see beyond affiliation, in exchange for simply being decent human beings. <3

@electrichippo did anything happen after the camera cut off, did you feel scared with Addison having just killed four?

    • #16353

@lenize: Right after the camera was shut off, the bag was placed back over my head and I was escorted away promptly. I listened for screams or voices, anything relevant, but heard nothing. In retrospect, maybe I should have felt fear or apprehension, but I never did because FOUR’s greatest weapon was always her mouth, and the one with the knife had never expressed any dislike for me. Come to think of it, Addison hardly seemed to notice I was there. She never spoke to me or made eye contact with me.

What If they faked her death?

    • #16350

@astro4545: Unless FOUR has some supernatural ability to come back from the dead or if a brilliant team of medical professionals was actually the car we heard pull up, I say she’s dead.

I’m breaking the fourth wall here, but since they did fake it(I really hope they did at least) there’s no reason they couldn’t of here.

Hi, Kim! Glad you’re back and safe! I know these may be questions where you can’t reveal too much when you answer but I guess a “yes” or “no” is good enough if that’s the case. I was wondering if you arrived at the location by yourself or if you were taken there? Were you removed immediately from the location after 4 was killed? Also, did you get to see who was taking the video?

@aleocotillo: Thank you, Ale. I was instructed to arrive at a public parking lot where a red hood was waiting for me. Once finding the hood I was to put it on and wait. A few moments later someone grabbed me from behind and rushed me into a vehicle. The vehicle drove me inside of the warehouse. I would have no way to find my way back there again.

Did I see the cameraman? Hmmm, kind of? He was wearing one of those white masks we’ve seen in previous periscopes. I could possibly ID anything but his face. He never identified himself by name or affiliation. He was probably the same man who escorted me to and from the warehouse and that gave me all instructions received in person that day, but I can’t be certain. @thebuz: I hope this answers your question as well and thank you for the well wishes.

Thank you for answering! Wow, that paints a picture! Being taken like that on a public parking lot…you definetly rule, @electrichippo very badass of you!

    • #16360

@aleocotillo: It was actually quite funny between the locals milling about watching and the man trying desperately to get my to sign his voter petitions. I learned something. Best way to get out of signing petitions when they won’t take no for an answer: Tell them your waiting for your cult to pick you up, and btw, have you seen a red blindfold type hood laying around here somewhere, they won’t arrive until it is securely over my head?! He backed away from my so fast.

      Thank you for answering!

Though I’m pretty sure we can all confirm that the location you were at was the same one used for Addison’s blood oath ritual (the first part).

Can I ask how long was the travel time from the car park (and where was that car park)? Estimations of course.

    • #16368

@thebuz: I’d agree. The warehouse looked immediately familiar. It’s pretty disorienting when your traveling blind. I’d guess 5-10 minutes. Lots of turns. No particularly high speeds. I can’t disclose the parking lot location.

Who was the 4th member there? The person holding the phone periscoping?

Glad you made it out okay… if only physically.

Glad to see you have returned. I am sorry to know you witnessed what you did, @electrichippo.

My first question would be one already being asked… who was filming? Who was that other witness?

    • #16358

@reaton: Sorry, but as stated above, I really don’t know who he was other than a representative there to give me instructions, film the meeting, and possibly escort me to and from. Thank you for checking in on me that day. I’m sorry I’ve been so silent until now, but it really was the best option considering everything that has happened.

Glad you’re ok and not traumatized by what you saw

Couple of questions, by “bearing witness”, do you fear anything for your personal safety? As in, you witnessed a murder and they wanted YOU there to be a witness?
Have you heard from BoS about the situation? Obviously, none of us know how/why this happened, but has there been any communication about this being a good thing? Bad thing? Condolences? etc?

If there’s anything you can’t answer, I totally understand

    • #16370

@mike: I certainly don’t feel invincible. I’m a member of an organization that many would consider the enemy. I have been at the center of some particularly dicey situations of late. My guard is up for sure.

I do remain in communication with Sentinel. They have been good to me. I choose not to discuss that further.

Most importantly, I understand FOUR was your friend and mentor. Please accept my condolences.

Sorry, Don’t want to bombard you with too many questions, but did Addison ever make it outside or appear to look like she noticed anybody out there or did she simply turn around and come back?

  • #16371

@jvonde: Addison did go outside. She was out of my line of sight for at least a good minute before reentering the warehouse. The video showed Addison very briefly as she walked back towards us. What I saw appeared far more ominous. When I realized my expression might give too much away, I tried my best to regain a neutral face, focus purely on FOUR’s words, and let the rest be as it may without my interference.

It’s good to hear back from you, @electrichippo, glad you’re okay. I hope you don’t mind another question. You said that Addison returned after about a minute being outside, which lines up with the video, and that when she came back she appeared changed. Was it just her posture/facial expression, or was there more to it than that? I guess what I’m asking is did she look like she was, pardon the pun, in control? Or did she appear to be manipulated, coerced, or under some sort of (possibly supernatural) influence?

    • #16420

@freedomsflame: Addison’s words, postures and expressions changed drastically from start to finish, but to me the changes appeared fluid and made sense. In the beginning she spoke and moved as if she was unsure of herself, this morphed into reacting to FOUR’s commands similar to a beaten down animal, flinching and diverting her eyes. As Addison walked out of the warehouse she seemed complacent and resigned, but an emptiness seemed to have entered her eyes. When she returned her face was void of emotion, her movement was lacking animation, she walked slowly and quietly, she held the knife facing downward in front of her, both hands firmly grasping. When she reached FOUR she stood quietly an inch behind FOUR’s chair, hovering over her, still devoid of emotion. FOUR become more fervent in conveying her message and didn’t show any sign that she realized Addison was there at all.

I steadied myself, awaiting what seemed sure to happen next… Chekhov’s very large hunting knife will always come into play sooner or later. In this case, I expected much, much sooner.

@electrichippo – Thanks again or this. The way you described this makes me wonder something (that none of us can answer)

It was previously said that a car pulled up, which was why she went outside. What if something happened outside or “someone” happened outside.

      What if:
whoever was outside put the helmet on her somehow
it wasn’t III that showed up, but Benny/Mark or Tom

Either one of these things could change her demeanor the way you described. Something to think about.

@mike this makes sense. Except why would Tom and Benny have the helmet? Isn’t that an OOA thing?

i think it’s more likely that if the helmet was placed on her it was done by a member of the OOA

@endlesspictures – oh I meant those “what ifs” as separate things :)

But what you said made me think of this. III was/still is OOA, so he would have access to the helmet. So maybe it was III who showed up and was able to get the helmet on her. We’ve theorized in the past that he has some sort of “way” with people (like how we think he had one of Sam’s men put the knife in another’s stomach). Maybe Addison went outside, fully prepared to make sure there was no funny business going on, III did his thing, and the helmet ended up on her head. Either by III or one of his people putting it on her or by Addison putting it on herself.

    • #16431

My only argument against this is that when III did… whatever he did to Sam’s men, the men were apologetic as they murdered each other. Addison/2 was more like a woman who hit her breaking point.

It is very possible that something happened outside the warehouse next to the car, but maybe it was less III controlling Addison/2 and more him just unlocking the emotions she already had in her

I am wondering though what would III have to gain by pushing/manipulating Addison to take up the mantle of Two. She seemed hesitant to be referred to as that (when four asked her who she was or something along those lines), so why would he facilitate her becoming Two if he want’s to be the last counted.

My theory would be that it was someone from the remnants of the OOA (maybe working with the camera guy) who wanted her to become Two to help stop III. Whether they knew she was going to kill four I don’t know. Maybe that is somehow part of becoming the next gatekeeper, the previous ones need to die or something. The camera guy didn’t seem shocked or like he was inclined to stop Addison at all when all this was going down.

@mike III controlling her does make sense except, I agree with @thegilded she has declared herself to be gatekeeper 2, which we know III is not down with. And she was very confident about it.
I feel like if III was around she would’ve taken him out too. This would place power firmly back in the OOA’s hands, IF she is being controlled by them, which seems more likely to me

Hi @electrichippo, III was supposed to be there with you, but was running late, correct? Is the BoS okay with III’s tardiness? Can you comment on how BoS feels about III in general?

@electrichippo I’m glad you’re fine, I’m glad you still have your wits about you and I’m glad to see you’re still as chipper as ever. If I may be somewhat off topic, I’m actually burning with the question of what your _path has been like? I’d like to know what initially enticed you over to BoS?

  • #16502

@mkarrett: According to @gatekeeper3, yes, he was running late. As I see it, Sentinel isn’t the boss of III, same as III is not the boss of Sentinel, therefore it’s no matter to me that III was tardy. I imagine he had important things to do and valuable Pokemon to catch. It would have been amusing to see him again, but I was fine going it alone. As far as feelings go, Sentinel and III share certain common beliefs. I’ll leave it at that.

Yes, it is off-topic @nosnevets, but I’ll give it a pass by lumping it into this reply to Melissa. My path has been extremely rewarding so far. I have no regrets. I’ve been treated very well, and maintain a healthy level of autonomy and choice. Furthermore, I’m not asked to follow an invisible God or have ever been made to feel threatened by any particular authority. I first pursued a relationship with Sentinel because I am not designed to be a cult member. I know many here don’t view OOA as a cult. So be it, but, this is the fork in the road for me, and why I veered off the OOA path. BOS is often vilified. This effects me not at all. I understand I put myself in a certain degree of peril strictly due to my affiliations. It’s a chance I take willingly. I have no evidence to suggest to me that Sentinel are murders, kidnappers, brainwashers or thieves. I sleep well at night. I hope you do too. Best of luck finding the path that feeds your conscience.
