Can someone transcript it? @gatekeeper2 wasn’t all that clear and loud with her reading-it was tough to hear her.

Adison|II give me the impression of someone who stuck with repeating the lessons she herself learn, contrary to the other Gatekeeper who go with their own musing and than her true lesson is she ”not like them” and than she wish to be left alone now she free of Four tyrany. This make me glad that my allegeance is more of a trust on her morality instead of a trust on her leadership.

My takeaway: it doesn’t matter who gives/says the message, what’s important is that the message is heard by the people

Alrighty, storytime with 2!
General synopsis being a longggg time ago, a King recieved gospel from an early Gatekeeper and took it as his own.
A bystander questioned this and asked the Gatekeeper why he didn’t speak for Anoch himself. The Gatekeeper explained that the gospel was best suited to the strongest, loudest voice and it did not matter if he had stolen the credit.

Gatekeeper 197 spoke to the king. Further supports the idea that this has all been a countdown to whoever or whatever Gatekeeper 1 will be.
Further, this is an interesting insight in how Anoch/OOA operate, they speak what they view the Light to be through the mouths of those that will be able to spread it, telling them to speak the words as though they are their own.
This has ramifications in that it implies that Anoch/OOA are operating through their agents and we view them to be independent. Could be that Anoch wanted everything that happened between 4 and 2 to happen. Could be that Anoch wanted 3 and Buz to play out the way that they did, and that a Gatekeeper or Anoch are working through these people toward a larger goal.
I would theorize that Sentinel himself could also be another manifestation of this, but I’m hesitant to say so, the book suggests that Betrayers have been present since the beginning and are something independent from the King and 197’s interactions

Also of note:
2 saying she “knows the end” and that she is only doing this for us.
“Betrayers of truth” have been there from the beginning (according to the story)

AnonymousYou ask for a lesson, yet you don’t pay attention to the words I say. This is for you. I already know the end.
‘The king pled, “How do I help those who do not believe? They rise up against us and our kind.”
‘197 patiently smiled and replied with the gift of Anoch’s voice and Anoch’s wisdom. At daybreak the King took this gift to his people and said the words as if they were his own. The king watched from on high as they submitted before the knowledge, humbled by power and truth. By the light.
‘An attendant and witness ran back to the frail and old bedridden keeper of the gate. “The king, he has spoken the words as if they were his very own. How will we punish this betrayer of our truth?”
‘197 once again patiently smiled. “Betrayers of our truth have been with us since the beginning. These lesser men twist our words and motivations to the masses, they do not listen.” The keeper of the gate continued. “Our king is no betrayer of truth.”
‘His attendant questioned, “How can this be so?”
“Did he listen?” asked 197.
“Yes.”
“Did he say the words as he was told? Did he say the words true?”
“Yes.”
“Could I, weak of voice and body, have said the words as well?”
‘The attendant was taken aback but answered truthfully, “No. He delivered the message with a strong voice and body.”
‘The keeper of the gate was pleased and explained to the boy. “It matters not who says the words as long as the light is delivered by those who the people can hear best. This is why I told the king to say them as if they were his own. Glory be.”‘

Didn’t III at one point say Anoch doesn’t talk to him and hence why he left to be in cahoots with BoS? Basically giving the anti-message is a sure fire way to test one’s faith but by no means makes III a King-like figure.

Well, I’ll just let you all know, my brain is shot by this whole situation, and I will do my best to contribute, but I’m likely to be wrong. Lol. So we think 1 will arrive before Ascension?

Oh yeah…das right…I’m just real dumb and am pulling a Dory apparently.
So I have another thought that I think is relevant, but may screw up your thread, Melissa(idk sorry boo). Do we think one of us is to be a Gatekeeper? What we witnessed with III(rip in peace) is really an unprecedented degree of involvement. Kim was present for a murder, but one of our own partook in it. What if not only are they, as some of you theorize, trying to weed out the non believers and faint of heart, but trying to select the final bringer of this Light? Just a thought.

it’s okay bb @nate31464 😉
I have entertained the idea that one of us will become Gatekeeper 1. I have pocketed theories but it’s so early with Two at the helm I don’t feel like I have enough information to really give out that theory. I want to wait until Saturday.

This world has made monsters of us all.
Who are we, underneath these layers of identity? What essence murmurs from beneath the pieces of self we put on like so much jewelry?
We… are no one. We are everyone. We are the lie.
Have we forgotten? Do we still imagine that our words are our own anymore? That has never been, nor ever will be.
If you want to see the face that speaks the message, you do not hear the message.
If you judge the message by the sender, then you fail to understand it.
If you listen for the logic through the parts of your body, then you do not seek the truth.
What is in the book does not matter except that it is the book. There was never anything in the box. The answers are right there, but we do not speak the language.
The Tao that can be spoken is not the true Tao.
Until we embrace this darkness, we will not see dawn.

In light of the panel events at ScareLA on August 6, perhaps some may want to revisit this lesson provided by @gatekeeper2.
We were given a demonstration of wills, perhaps? So many voices in that room… so much noise.
But, in the end, this lesson puts forth that the ultimate thing to be held close, to be appreciated… is “the gift of Anoch’s voice and Anoch’s wisdom.”
On Saturday, those before us were not speaking for Anoch, there was no clear statement or answer to any questions that we were hoping for or maybe expecting. Instead, we given several possible glimpses into the lives of some who had been touched by the OOA and the BOS.
Those glimpses revealed pride, anger, bliss, apprehension, sadness, acceptance and joy… depending on where you sat and who you chose to concentrate on.IT IS ALL DISTRACTION.
In light of this lesson, perhaps we can ponder the motives behind the words rather than the delivery method or tone.
More importantly, I believe, we gain from this lesson a simple truth… people come and go… Apostles come and go…
Gatekeepers come and go, and they are there to lead us. But, the message they deliver, the wisdom the share with us… it comes from an older, deeper source.
When the screaming stops… the words will remain. -

I have a notion…
If III represents “The King” in Addison’s story, then he may not be the monster that I and others have suspected.
Is it possible that @gatekeeper3, @regent7 and the rest have put on an elaborate ruse? Staged a hostile takeover to instill fear, distrust and divide the Apostles in order to ultimately teach us a lesson? Could this be our New Dawn?
If this is true, I owe a lot of apologies.

Ah great now I’m thinking of all those stupid comics I made of III where I have a crown on his head….

@kasch I think I remember someone bringing this up before – the OOA is behind BoS, and using them as a way to cull the herd. A test to determine who’s devoted and whose faith waivers.

I so not think III represents anything resembling a king.
Follow @gatekeeper2 and the words of @regent7…
That is the path to light. 2 may pass but she is preparing us for 1
