Hey, my two cents:

What about a connection to the biblical samson? The one who had super long hair and was the guardian of a temple of some sort, and got involved with a woman, ruined everything, and then ended up destroying the same temple he was supposed to protect? (wikipedia here:

It’s super nice to hear the two sides of it:
1) there are experiences/theater/art pieces that go the extra mile to really create and connect with a community. That is just super cool.
2) Also, there are people willing to give themselves up to a community and dive in head-first… It seems as this is sometimes the harder part to achieve, no?

Anyways, I’m just an outsider looking in, but pat yourselves on the backs as well for keeping this thing alive and going “full-tension”, or whatever you wanna call it. =)

To me, it’s like following a novel that is being written while I watch. Even better than House of Leaves. =)

Yeah, I understand the hesitance, but for those who have been following along (maybe less than actively), and want to know how Ascension fits into the overall story, a spoilery review from people in this group is crucial. The review stated above talks about the experience of the evening, but doesn’t feed the need for knowing how the story ends…

Anyways, I know that I am just a lurker, with minimal status, but the world is big… Then again, if it’s just a matter of waiting a few more days/weeks until this is over and then discuss, then this is fine. Just don’t forget everything before, or maybe make a big diary where everyone puts in their experience (google doc?) and can be published later. Maybe this would be a nice exercise anyways for tying the story together?

I’m willing to bet it’s a teaser for the LUST experience… It seems like Tension is more or less closed no? Maybe the OSDM are the puppetmasters of the whole thing, abducting people for OOA, and now another thing…
