Did you try logging in with your email rather than your screen name? That really stumped me the first time logging in and if I didn’t write myself a note I’m sure I’d pull my hair out every time forgetting.

Yeah @mumumusings I’ve played. I don’t much anymore. I didn’t enjoy hearing rumors of people getting beat up for attacking nodes in Santa Cruz and such. But I’m really looking forward to PokemonGo which is by the same company, So very nice to meet you haha.

Exactly Russ, this story you’ve relayed (I didn’t mention because at the bowling alley you mentioned that it was a secret and I thought you definitely should keep the name to yourself and do a bit of a Tyrion Lannister and disseminate different bits of information to try and find the leak… NOT SPOILERS GUYS IT HAPPENED SEASONS AGO AND WAS LIKE NOT AN IMPORTANT PLOT POINT AT ALL) was actually one of the really poignant points that pushed me over the edge into writing this post. It seems Too personal almost, unworldly that they would be able to find that level of information out about you and use it in such a subtle way that it wasn’t a threat yet you know what’s up immediately.

But yeah I searched the number in a simple google search because you can usually tell what the area code signifies and whether its through a calling service or an actual location. and the result was this:

I meant that above in the…novel of a post that some how came from my fingers, I mentioned a few of the things you’ve told me in person that I wasn’t sure were open to everyone so I kept it vague and didn’t call you out by name @nking.

But yeah that’s crazy! Perhaps it was a coincidence, like you said, after a bit more digging more may come into play.

Oh @coryphella, this is my first haunt. I’ve done plenty of ARGs but that usually requires me sitting at a computer figuring out codes and telling people coordinates and such since most seem to originate on the East coast or in the Midwest. Most I’ve participated in anyway. Other than that it consists of walking down a street and stopping at an art instillation changing its online color from green to blue, or spotting a Pokemon to catch in the middle of Hollywood blvd #StillMadIWasntOnTheFieldTestForPokemonGo

Anyway, rest assured They’ve started calling people outside California. A ton of the posts yesterday seemed to mention “I’m not even there but I’m stopping here in the middle of the street to chat in forum because they said be active!” So I’m guessing they will begin to dig as their map of influence spreads out.

I may be not hiding on the internet @111error but the initial clue was just to pointed for me personally. But yeah could easily be coincidence and I admit that. But you have to admit some of these stories people are coming out with almost seem to be personally charged at an inhuman rate. The only person that matches in doing this amount of research is Nardwuar the Human Serviette… hmmmmm

Any coincidence is a possibility @nking I actually was mentioning you within but wasn’t sure everything was in the open? But I had no clue about the nickname thing! I know @reaton and @thebuz mentioned to me (perhaps not to me… maybe I more… walked through their conversation…) that they had received multiple misspellings of their names, intentionally addressing them right above then wrong in the body of an email or vice versa. To which I told them I’m glad I didn’t mention not liking that in my questionnaire then because I despise when people get my name wrong. (It’s Derek guys… I’m a person… I’m not an oil Derrick… it’s my middle name that received the weird black spelling from my dad.) Although I probably shouldn’t have mentioned that because I may have jinxed it. Oh well.
