@aleocotillo I’ve been enjoying playing it, but I also love Bioshock so to me the parallels between the two games are a good thing. I like to cosplay from time to time and dressing up as a citizen from Wellington Wells is going on my list of possible characters.

@endlesspictures I won’t lie, I’m having fun imagining Ascension to be like Will’s last expedition into the house. Since I’m sadly not going to be able to go, I my fantasy remains intact.
My two cents on The Familiar is that it’s completely different than House of Leaves. The Familiar deconstructs narratives in a different way than House of Leaves did and it doesn’t verge into unsettling/horror at all.

@lenize I hope you have a few days free when you started. I stayed up till three in the morning the first night I started reading it and was so unsettled by the book that I didn’t sleep for the rest of the night… so I stayed up and finished the book around noon the following day. It’s awesome!

@nospacebears I’d absolutely recommend it. It’s definitely a one of a kind reading experience that you can’t put down.

Wow these are awesome! I think I might turn my hand to making some Tension art as well.

I’ve only been a part of Tension for a few days and I’m already balancing what I thought it was with what it actually is. I’ll admit, I thought a few hours after I signed up I’d start getting creepy phone calls and disconcertingly specific emails about my life. What I’ve come to appreciate about the whole experience is that it’s more like a Mark Z. Danielwiski book rather than an action movie. We have to work to see the complete picture and get the whole story, and I think we’re all the better for it in the long run.

I’m a fan of more of the style over gore horror kind of movies such as Seven or The Hunger that appeal to my love of set and costume design (theater tech nerd here) as much as the need to be shocked and thrilled. I have been getting more into HP Lovecraft recently and I’d LOVE to find some movies based on his works, which seem frustratingly few and far between.

I finished it a few days ago and I think I’m the only one I know that has watched it. It was AWESOME. I can’t wait for the next season/installment of the story.

Hey everyone! My name is Spencer. I came across Tension on Twitter (follow me , and decided to begin on this journey because I’m looking for a thrill in my life. Indianapolis, where I’m from, seems so far away from literally every interesting thing in the world that even being on the periphery of something as exciting as this bumps up my life a few notches. Otherwise, I work in the garment industry as a stylist and sometimes textile designer and I spend far too much time tending my Twitter account @TheS_Squared. Beyond that, I spend my time looking for cool things at local thrift stores and reading.

Unrelated to this I’m looking for jobs in the Los Angeles area, so it’s entirely possible I’ll be able to participate more fully in the future. Of course, a completely live version of House of Leaves would leave the audience maimed, so perhaps not a 100% accurate.
