Something about the way that she implied that we’d be meeting The One makes me a bit cautious. Like The One and this Event both aren’t literal physical events, something like we’re all The One.

Or maybe they are literal, and Tension is stepping their game up.

This has gone on long enough. I don’t care enough about either side of this conflict to speak on it as TheGilded but I do care enough about what this topic has done to the forums as Sentry and Moderator.

We’ve gone way off topic and emotions are running far too high for this thread. In your bickering, we’ve essentially ignored a major plot point and devolved into personal attacks and offense taken. We are no longer getting anywhere.

Of course… this is why you never really said the Words before, isn’t it? You didn’t believe in the version that they’re spreading. That’s why you were willing to give us Anoch’s words directly, and what they were hunting you for.

That’s why III didn’t come out the way They expected, and neither did you. Because they’re no longer on the path that Anoch set forth however long ago. Is that why we’ve seen so much dissension, confusion, and fear in even their own members?

I immediately recognized an error: 5 uses the phrase “Glory Be” in a post in the ELEVATION topic, which is the last on his account.

How about more generally speaking? How would you compare this preview to previous events? How would you rate it?

That’s an interesting theory. In that case, “Sadie” would act the role of the succubus in a way. To Addison, she provided exactly what Addy needed: a support structure and someone to rely one that would provide a link to the OOA in a way Addy would not be able to turn down.

But for us? For the ones that “Jenna” contacted? “Jenna” wouldn’t need to provide any structure to get her targets to be unable to say no, all she would need to do is provide a mystery. Out of all the people she spoke with, none would be able to walk away from a mystery of this caliber.

Ascension has, from the earliest points, been independent of loyalty. It is a Tension event, not an OOA or BoS event.

Which is not to say that the experience won’t be different for us, because who knows about that. But all sides should bear witness to whatever will be happening there.

Unless we’re going to see something big relatively soon, it’s my opinion that the timing and posturing that is currently in play suggests that Ascension will be the time for us to meet with Addison/2, and may also be when she raises One.

I doubt that Sadie and Jenna were the same person, but think for a moment.. it’s absolutely possible that they were very similar and served the same role. Think about the differences that it would take to recruit you vs Addison. Addison wouldn’t have been interested in a mystery or danger or anything like that, she just needed a friend and a roof over her head. The OOA provided that, and that was their In.

You didn’t need a roof over your head and weren’t desperate for friends, but from our limited interactions, I know that you would not have walked away from a mystery. And you didn’t, because here you are. Let’s look past the details for a moment and look at the overall gist of the matter: if Sadie and Jenna were both working for the OOA, they both did something that targeted their “victim”‘s needs, desires and personalities in such a way that their targets would be brought closer to the OOA

Both Jenna and Sadie performed actions that got their targets closer to the OOA and then when their targets were hooked, they dropped off the face of the planet. I never spoke to Jenna, so perhaps I’m wrong, but I’d just ask you: How well did you really know her?

@dimstyle – I could see it being Gar, certainly. The previous note ultimately expressed a sentiment of cautious friendship.

If it is Gar, I’d read this as being less of a direct link to the rune slip from before and more of a note that the journal was central and something to be focused on, as it explains Addison’s journey into becoming 2

I thought that it may be a rune, but haven’t had any luck matching it to anything. Due to her speech recently I tried Germanic runes first, but had no luck there. Also tried Nordic Futhark with no luck either. Do you remember what runeset the previous note used?
