@electrichippo I completely agree, a behind the scenes tour would be thrilling… even if it might destroy some of the illusion behind this really cool thing I enjoyed so much. (Delusion offered something like this several years ago and it was absolutely thrilling to experience.)

The No Proscenium review is excellent, I feel. I have made it quite clear to everyone I can that I personally feel that Ascension is not just a thrilling ride and theater piece, but an important one for Los Angeles. The elements that Noah Nelson points to and criticizes are, in my opinion, absolutely valid and I agree with him on many levels. We know the show is being altered during the run (all shows are) and I feel it will improve with experience as more groups go through and reactions are gathered. I see the review as positive, also, and I am still looking forward to a return trip to Ascension… when I can figure out my schedule to make that work out!

@electrichippo Interesting you felt they did, indeed, use that information of your fear specifically “against” you.
Or, perhaps, it was used to “help” you… after all, the OOA wants us to be the best we can be… to be worthy… am I right? 😉

Anyway, I get what you are saying. The fear I revealed is very real for me and I gave them something specific about it. Surprisingly, my fear is actually, already part of the show to some degree. However, there was a sequence that, I believe, was very specifically tailored to increase the intensity of the scene and make me feel more vulnerable and out of control. It was absolutely frightening and thrilling at the same time. I cannot even begin to express my appreciation that they did that. It was incredibly effective… and I loved it… later when I could calm down. Haha!

As many of you know, I got a last minute phone call asking if I could move my ticket and attend that last time slot of the night… you guys have no idea how nice it was to come out and be able to join all of you afterwards. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to go the same night as so many others in the community.

I am still processing the entire night. I am still processing the last seven months. What a journey it has been… and continues to be.
(Seriously, there are things that happened inside ASCENSION that my mind is so blown over. The event was so rich and clearly is not over for us, I believe.)

I appreciate all of the community that has shared in this along the way. Thanks to everyone, you have all been a major part of my Tension Experience.

First, thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. This has been a difficult day.
It is difficult to come here now but I feel I should say something.

Tonight? This is where my _path has been leading for some time.

Some of it was my choice, some of it was guided. All of it has been known. She said she was aware, we all know she was aware.
But, what part of her did we encounter tonight?

I hate that I may have caused pain to someone who has offered me brief, searing, honest glimpses into her life… but this is a step toward……………………..

Thank you all, again. Yes, I am sad. Yes, I am concerned. Yes, I knew this had to happen.

In closing, I feel I must set the record straight. The pictures online are clear, and some have noticed the discrepancy.
A stuffed animal given to me by a concerned father, at first it was just easy to refer to it as the teddy bear… that stuck.
I have referred to it as “The Bear.” Others have referred to it as “The Bear.”

Honestly, for the sake of clarity, it is actually a stuffed cat. A cute little cat.

Now, it is home.

@dimstyle Since you asked me a direct question, I will reveal what I am comfortable with, for now… please understand this is very awkward for me.
I believe it was intended for the toy to find its way to her… always.
Shortly before the event, I received a phone call concerning the whereabouts of the stuffed animal.
Once inside that room, it was clear I had a specific _path to follow.

I have to lean toward @kasch on this one. I think it is someone who we have encountered along the way. That being said, @mike, you are right in thinking it could be interpreted that we have “seen” the results of their actions rather than actually seeing them… that they have proven their power and presence without actually showing themselves.
