Thanks for sharing this, @addisonborn (and for letting me embed your video from Sunday night!).

I never posted a proper Thank You to the community on Facebook, so at the risk of coming down with another case of the post-Tension feels… I just wanted to join the chorus and thank everyone here in the forums for being so cool, so welcoming, and for building this incredible community that was collectively able to tell such a wild, exhilarating story.

A lot of us post-Indoctrination folks were able to jump in and join precisely because of what everyone here did: how you documented your past experiences, the way you shared information, and the patience you offered to anyone interested in exploring the world of The OOA. So thank you for helping make my _path possible. I’m so happy to have gotten to know so many of you… and it seems like we’re all just getting started.

Wise words from everyone in this thread. And I don’t think it was any coincidence that Michelle wanted to meet with the BOS ahead of Sunday night’s events.

If we go off the assumption that The OOA and The BOS were all just constructs, designed to push emotional buttons for the ODSM’s data collection needs, than it stands to reason that her meeting was yet another attempt to push buttons. Perhaps even to create some of the distrust we’ve seen pop up on the forums since Sunday.

If Overseer’s final work was to bring everyone together for a common goal, than it seems that Michelle’s may have been to plant the seeds of future strife; to keep the community fragmented and confused in the months before the ODSM can launch their next data-collection initiative. To defeat that requires empathy, patience, and most of all: community.

UPDATE: Thanks to the transcription from @electrichippo below (thanks Kimberly!) it seems to definitely be a prod in the direction of future battles. (It also neatly explains the thematic dissonance I was feeling when the show suddenly became a smartphone-friendly zone.)

Of course, an organization that specializes in data collection encouraging people to embrace technology and social media for the good of “communication” sounds an awful lot like the rhetoric of companies like Google… and makes me immediately suspicious. Be careful, my BOS friends.

This is a quick aside, but as somebody that wasn’t around for Indoctrination and wasn’t able to see the community team up and work together around the various dead drops and live events, it was really, really incredible to see how everyone just sprung into action this afternoon, Periscoping and sharing information to let everyone else know what was going on.

@sadako @hoopthespian21 Thank you for your video broadcasts and write-ups! If either of you end up framed for anything, I think it’s safe to say none of us will let them take you down.

@thebuz Props for your hilarious Periscope post-mortem.

I’ve always found the sound of @masterlock singing “Amazing Grace” in one of the Ascension trailers so incredibly memorable and haunting. To hear it again in tonight’s Periscope – only with Samson singing alongside her – felt… wrong. Corruptive. Perverse somehow.

I don’t know what to expect Sunday, but I do know that I will stand by her side, and alongside all of you, and take whatever actions are necessary to support her and defeat those that would stand in her way.

And I will help share her story and carry on her vision – even if we are forced to do it without her.

@izryn @sadako I don’t believe I heard Samson use the term “sir” when I saw them argue. And while The Suit had clearly come in to oversee (wah-wah) Samson, by no means did I see Samson display the kind of snap-to lapdog behavior we’re seeing in these emails.

Horace seems to be someone with considerably more power — and the ability to intimidate.

@sirhuxleywiseass: Hey, good to see you here in the forums! Glad you were able to grab a ticket for a second round.

My advice? Learn everything you can here about the ongoing story of The Tension Experience. What happened in Indoctrination, what happened since Ascension started, the latest Periscopes and FB Live videos, etc. BUT avoid the Round 2 spoiler threads. The more immersed in the experience you are, the richer Round 2 will be for you – but some discoveries and conclusions should be your own.

For me personally, I went into R2 with two objectives:

1. A “meta objective” to be more participatory and interact more with the characters.

2. A story/character-based objective. I wanted some answers from a certain someone.

That approach worked well for me.
