Have Greek symbols appeared elsewhere? I do not recall any.

@sabaki12 Good point – it never ceases to shock me how willing some people are to attack others publicly in this day of social media exchanges. Basic good manners apply in any venue! Haha!

@mike Thanks for this. I can directly apply it to a Home Owner’s Association I have had to deal with in the past. The incredible amount of hostility that was traded between some individuals was truly disturbing… usually over the perception of who was “more powerful” or more “in control.” Your find definitely is interesting food for thought!

I admit being perplexed by some of the exchanges I have seen here and the suspicions thrown around, etc. In my outlook, if one person gets a call or an interaction and is able to share with others some of the details, then the community learns and grows and should celebrate the experience. If certain details are withheld, then that is a choice the person has a right to make. (I have made that choice a couple of times when references have been made to very specific things in my life that have crept into the vision of the OOA. A reference to something I have done in the past, or a prediction for the direction of my _path, perhaps? I am not trying to “play” anybody… it’s just me trying to find my way in this community. Wow… does that all sound a bit “new age”? Well, it’s just me being sincere.)

Thank you @mike and thank you @masterlock. This exchange has come at a very good moment.

Mike, you have obviously expressed the thoughts of many we have encountered. I, too, interpreted it as a criticism of the community that we have been encouraged to form, at first. I would like to say that as someone who is struggling, at times, to remain up-to-date on events unfolding simply because of a very demanding schedule… if that community were not there for me with support and encouragement and guidance, I would have no desire to continue on my _path. (Even as I understand that path to be individual to me.)

This exchanged has helped me… and made me aware of things that I had not noticed up until now.

Congratulations @thegilded and @mkarrett!!! Well deserved! Both of you have personally aided me in finding my way in this realm. Your guidance is truly, deeply appreciated and I hope our interactions have provided something for you, as well.

@mike your words ring loud and clear for me, my friend!

There is also a message going out from Esther Smith requesting you contact her through email so she can send you a picture and she “will tell you better about myself.”

I did report it as soon as I received it, hope others have, too.

@mkarrett I think I am scared of the banhammer!!!

Gatekeeper4 is here to keep us focused on our path. Good reminders in her words, a refreshing refresh of the organic computer screens that are our minds.

@mike @kingkill33 In the past, there have been people asked to leave conventions because all distributions of fliers, etc, must be pre-approved. I know of two events at last year’s ScareLA that ran into such issues. Stealth mode, people… stealth mode. 😉

@atticus360 Thanks for the shout out to MyHauntLife, it is much appreciated!

@jkonigsberg Welcome! There is no shame to be had in feeling lost. You will soon learn even those folks around here that have been participating since very early on sometimes feel lost and disoriented… it is part of the experience… part of the… fun? Haha! There is a sense of community here and you will find support along your path.

The Tension Reddit thread is a HUGE help for keeping things in order, a very useful resource! If you want to hear and read more about the live events that have happened and some discussion on the emotional impact this is having on the community… give MyHauntLife a try. (Full disclosure… I am part of MyHauntLife with the incredibly helpful @mike, who is a great resource for things Tension-related if you do a little research on his posts. Very sharp guy!)

Hello @mjoeck. You make an interesting point that I seem to be in the minority around here on. 😉 The puzzles do seem to unite some, but I feel more alienated by them, personally. If I am engaging in this, I will definitely try my hand to decipher the various puzzles, but I don’t have any natural inclination to cyphers and have a very lengthy and demanding day job which sometimes limits my time to participate. It is not that I am unwilling to attempt them, it’s just that they sometimes become roadblocks rather than doorways. Still, I am willing to give it a try… but often need clues to find my way. My issue is that it does not add or build Tension in any way… it deflates it. I would rather have emotional reactions based on the mysterious aspects of the building story and the community involvement around it, rather than have emotional frustration while staring at an image. (Yes, I understand this is a matter of MY personal outlook and perception, your comment did resonate with me, though.)

Now, if you are referring to the “eye chart” puzzle. I suggest you make sure that you can see everything in front of you clearly. A few people have mentioned issues between varying browsers used. Once you start to see it, it will probably become clear fairly quickly. Me? I overthink everything and that’s what tripped me up on that one. Have fun! I did enjoy that series of puzzles.

@endlesspictures and @monkeymuffin333, interesting observations. I am trying to catch up after a couple weeks of adult responsibilities becoming particularly invasive of my time. :(

When I first saw this, I went to what Jake O commented on… it seems like a direct reference to touch, to me. But, still looking around. I am not the best with the puzzles…

@atticus360 I have to jump in and say I am in agreement on what’s already been said in this thread. @mike and @endlesspictures and I often end up in the same place at the same time during the “haunt” adventures. Their summaries are all valid.

One I want to throw in the mix is “immersive theatre” and not haunt. Look up “The Speakeasy Society.” All theatre, usually straight drama but sometimes a little creepy. I LOVE their stuff.
